TRTCC Upcoming Practices, March 3 – 8, 2026

Dear Dharma Friends,

Tuesday the 3rd brings us a full moon, and Ven. Khenpo Choephel will be offering the Eight Precepts vow at 8:30am EST online only. Tuesday evening is Beginners Buddhism with Khenpo Choephel at 7pm EST, online only. Wednesday evening practice this week is Chenrezig, and will be online and in person. Saturday the 7th is Basic Buddhism practice online and in person. Sunday March 8 is Vajrasattva and will be online and in person.

The new center is located at 1660 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131

Tuesday, March 3, 8:30am EST, Ven. Khenpo Choephel Rinpoche will offer the Eight Precepts vow for the full moon day. Taking the 24 hour precepts is an excellent way for lay practitioners to practice renunciation, purify unwholesome habits, and accumulate merit. Join us on Zoom.

 

Tuesday, March 3, 7pm EST, Beginners Buddhism. Online only. Ven. Khenpo Choephel is teaching a weekly zoom class that will cover the fundamentals of Buddhist philosophy and practiceAll levels of practitioners are welcome! Join us on Zoom.

 

Wednesday, March 4, 7pm EST. Chenrezig practice. Online and in person. Chenrezig is the embodiment of universal compassion. This yidam practice focuses on the cultivation of compassionate qualities and activities in all of us.  Ven. Lobpon Lama Kalsang will lead. Join us on Zoom.

 

Saturday, March 7, 10am EST. Basic Buddhism practice. Online and in person.  This practice opens with lineage invocations and shamatha meditation, with instruction, followed by discussion of different topics in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and practice. Newcomers may find this short introduction to Tibetan Buddhism helpful. Join us on Zoom.

Sunday, March 8, 10am EST. Vajrasattva practice. Online and in person. This is a foundational and ongoing training to purify our negative actions, mental disturbances, harmful tendencies and mistaken views by invoking the yidam Vajrasattva in a meditative visualization practice. Join us on Zoom.

Our center relies on many amazing volunteers to maintain the center and offer its programming. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to keep things running and any additional help is greatly appreciated. Anyone with home construction or renovation skills is especially requested for help with preparing the new center. A registration system has been created for volunteers who would like to donate their time and valuable experience to support the center. You can sign up via the form here. Thank you!

Please be advised: Masks remain optional for our in person practices at the center but we encourage you to please act with caution . We do ask that only fully vaccinated people come in to the center.  If you are not feeling well or have had a recent exposure to COVID, please ensure that you are negative with a home test before coming in or please join us online.
