This week, Tuesday 7am is Eight Precepts vow for the full moon day. Wednesday evening is Green Tara practice. On Saturday, Ven. Khenpo Choephel Rinpoche will offer basic Dharma teachings and will be available for Q & A. On Sunday we will be doing a purification practice and meditation with Khenpo.

Tuesday, October 7, 7am. Ven. Khenpo Choephel Rinpoche will offer the Eight Precepts vow for the full moon day. Taking the 24 hour precepts is an excellent way for lay practitioners to practice renunciation, purify unwholesome habits, and accumulate merit. Wednesday, October 8, 7pm. Green Tara practice. Online and in person. Green Tara, the meditation deity in female form, embodies the wisdom energies of compassionate fearlessness. This yidam practice helps us remove fears and obstacles, and cultivates the connection to her feminine energy of compassion and wisdom through visualization and chanting.  Ven. Saturday, Aug. 9: Full Moon precepts; Aug. 23 & 24: Torma Workshop

We have a few announcements to share: Tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 9) at 6am Ven. Khenpo Choephel Rinpoche will offer the Eight Precepts vow for the full moon day. Taking the 24 hour precepts are an excellent way for lay practitioners to practice renunciation, purify unwholesome habits, and accumulate merit. You may join us at the center in person or Join us on Zoom.

On August 23 & 24, Lama Kalsang will be giving a workshop on how to create and work with Tormas! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the meaning, uses, and construction of Tormas, which are essential to our lineage’s practices.

The workshop will be held at Three Rivers Tibetan Cultural Center, 7313 Florence Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218 If attending in person, you may bring a lunch or go out. The center will provide tea / coffee.

Workshop Zoom: The Torma workshop will be shared on Zoom. We will send registrants the Zoom link before the workshop weekend.
